The process/production section of the jubilee technical training Centre is equipped with ultra modern training rigs for oil & gas and related process training. It has a modern control room to make trainers have a better feel and experience of control room operations. The section has three highly trained and experienced trainers from Takoradi Polytechnic, Ghana and two consultants from TTE, UK. The section is working to develop the skills and competencies of industrial technical workers in modern processing and production to enhance their potentials and help them to perform satisfactorily in industry. The section is currently providing a realistic approach to implementing successful process improvement programs to our customers
This section shares the mission of the Centre which is to train highly qualified skilled technicians for industry to achieve the 90% local content policy of government.
The section runs full 26 weeks of training on the PAA\VQSET Level 2 Diploma in Performing Process Operations within a Replicated Work Environment (QCF). This qualification provides recognition of the skills and knowledge of individuals performing process operations within a replicated work environment. The qualification covers responding to incidents, hazardous conditions and emergencies, handover, working effectively in a team and identifying and dealing with hazards. The Chemical Processing Pathway also covers preparing for, controlling and monitoring, and completing batch processing operations. In addition trainees will be introduced to health and safety training to acquaint themselves with the new safety principles, organizational setup of industries and educate them on how operate effectively with its systems and structures.
